About Ira Hill
Ira Hill is a LA based jazz vocalist specializing in standards, bebop, and traditional straight-ahead jazz styles. He is influenced heavily by the vocalese masters Jon Hendricks, Mark Murphy, and Eddie Jefferson. He began his career as protégé of Dennis Rowland, former singer of the Count Basie Band, and he has since performed in numerous famous jazz venues around the US, such as Catalina's Jazz Grill (Hollywood), Vitello's (Studio City), The Lighthouse (Hermosa Beach), Small's (NYC), the PDX Jazz Festival (Portland), and many others. His album entitled 'Tomorrow', produced by Cheryl Bentyne of the Manhattan Transfer, is available on all platforms.
